RID YOUR DOG OF FLEAS
THE NATURAL WAY
A friend of mine is a real dog lover. Fleas were driving her and her animals crazy. She was using flea collars, flea medicine and everything she could get her hands on, but nothing worked. One of her neighbors had two outside dogs who never had fleas. He told her he gave them minced garlic cloves. However, her dogs were finicky eaters and she could not get them to eat the garlic. She searched books and the internet and came across the following recipes that contain garlic and yeast. It worked with her dogs. "It still amazes me," she says, "that after only one day with the biscuits the fleas are gone!" She makes a month worth of the treats and keeps them in an airtight container, doling out one a day to each of her dogs as a treat. "She laughs; I keep one container with the flea biscuits and one with regular treats. The dogs know the difference and watch which container she is opening and act a little disappointed if it's not the right one, but they still gobble down the flea biscuits."  Anna, a friend of hers is making the biscuits for her dogs and says they love them better than the regular ones. The main point is these work and are good for your dog. They do not kill the fleas, but they repel them and they stay off of your dogs as long as they continue to eat them.   Do not give them to cats as some research shows garlic and cats do not mix.
